HID lights are different type of lighting technology utilized in automobiles for greater effectiveness and greater efficiency
Using regular flashlights in the dark are pretty irritating and frustrating .Here comes the “HID flashlight” which provides three times more light on the road compared to traditional ones and it makes everything easier to see at night.
HID flashlight is extremely high light output at comparatively low power consumption. For the brightest flashlight in micro size, HID flashlight will be the best choice
HID or “High Intensity Discharge” is a type of bulb. Unlike a standard bulb that uses a glowing filament of tungsten for the light source; HID light is emitted from a very small glowing ball of ionized gas. As a result, you will get 3 times as much light from a set of batteries and the light output will be much closer to sunlight. HID bulb life is up to 20 times longer than halogen or xenon.
High Intensity Discharge (HID) is similar to the fluorescent or flash-bulb technology, where an electrical arc is established between two tungsten electrodes in a tube filled with both gas and metals. The gas helps in the starting of the lamps, and then the metals produce the light once they are heated to a point of evaporation. The light produced is automatically in the visible range, eliminating the need for phosphors.
HID lights are different type of lighting technology utilized in automobiles for greater effectiveness and greater efficiency. It consumes only 35W of electricity making them over 3 times more efficient than traditional halogen bulbs.
HID flashlights have special electrical requirements that must be supplied by ballast. The ballast is designed for the exact lamp type and wattage being used. In addition, HID lamps require a warm-up period to achieve full light output. Even a momentary loss of power can cause the system to restrict and have to warm up again.
“The older the lamp technology, the longer the warm-up will be.”
Most of the people will be impatient, can’t wait for 2-3minutes for their flashlight to work so considering this, while selecting a HID flashlight, DIS lamps are the newest technology available with igniter circuitry integrated into the bulb
Benefits of HID flashlights:
1. More light output (up to 3 times brighter).
2. Wider coverage (illuminates light up to 70% more of the road ray, especially the sides)
3. Whiter light (almost a blue light, resulting in clearing images)
4. More durable (withstands shock and vibration since there is no filament).
5. Longer life (last 3 times longer or 5-10 years, depending on use)
6. Greater efficiency (3x more light while using 24% less power).
